Dr. Ferrini has been providing dental care to local families for more than 40 years, and after all this time, he still says that his favorite part about every day is getting to know new patients and help them meet their dental needs. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our practice that you won’t find many other places, and you can start getting to know him by reading on below.
To hear Dr. Ferrini describe it, it was a “calling” that he just sensed. He was always very interested in helping people, and dentistry allows him to provide a much needed service that can make a real difference in someone’s daily life. He also likes that he gets to work with his hands every day and interact with such a diverse group of people, many of whom have become family friends over the years.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, Dr. Ferrini received his dental training from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, achieving his DDS degree in 1978. He went on to complete graduate course work in ortho-gnathological occlusion and oral rehabilitation in 1984-1985. This involved the advanced study of how the bite comes together and improving the functionality of the jaw joint, which can help relieve many kinds of chronic head/facial pain.
Most of Dr. Ferrini’s “free” time is dedicated to teaching leadership development for Christians, and he and his wife Cindi speak nationally for the Family Life Ministry on the topic of building a strong marriage (you can check out free online training materials and their books at www.joeferrini.com). They are also the proud parents of three grown children, Joey, Kristina, and Kathleen.
